GST: Aadhiya Moday-Made Ladu Knowledge Napkin Tax-free, TV-Fridge-AC Been Cheap



GST council meeting in the chairmanship of Union Incharge Finance Minister Piyush Goyal and Finance Secretary Hasmukh Adiya have been given relief to the general public. Council has reduced tax on 100 products, including 17 consumer durable electronic goods, such as TV, fridge, AC, washing machine. Things like Sanitary Neptune, Gold-stitches, Marble or Woods are tax-free.


GST has reduced from 18% to 5% on ethanol used in petrol. Central Incharge Finance Minister Piyush Goyal after the 28th meeting of the GST Council said that the new tax rate will be introduced from July 27. This is the third biggest change in GST during the nine-month period. Earlier, in November 2017, 213 items and 54 services in January 2018 and 29 items were made cheaper. At Saturday's meeting, the council has approved 46 of the proposed changes in the law of GST. No decision has been taken regarding the cess on sugar.


Great relief for women
During the interaction with the media, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was present in the meeting said that Sanitary Neptune is now GST free.
However, no decision has been taken by taking cess on sugar.
