Gandhinagar- The announcement was made by the government on behalf of the government employees for the purpose of celebrating Janmashtami and upcoming festivals.Mor than eight lakh officials-employees and pensioners of the government have been given an increase of 2% dearness allowance. This announcement was made by Deputy CM Nitin Patel. This increase will increase the incidence of 680 crores on the state's treasury.
Thisincrease has been implemented since 01.01.2018. The dearness allowance will be paid with the salary of September -2018, which will give the state government an annual burden of Rs.680 crores additional.1,85,575 of the State Government, 2,08,771 and 4,26,418 pensioners of the panchayat department got total 8,20,764 officers / employees and pensioners have been approved by the State Government for the benefit of seven Finance Commission, according to present salary And pensions are paid.Government has decided to cash in on 2% dearness allowance from 01.01.2018, taking into consideration the birth and deaths of its officers / employees and pensioners.
